Brief

Adspur wanted a redesign of their logo and launch their online platform.

The goal of the web interface for the startup was to show the functionality, improve the overall user experience, and task flow to allow users to easily follow shows and keep track of dates.

The logo needed to be visible at small dimensions for online and indicate a verbal break between "Ad–Spur".

Approach

Looking at the initial logo I knew where the improvements needed to be. I wanted to create a clean, simplified look that wouldn't outdate. As well as a strong brand colour palette that would be high in colour contrast.

The Logo features:

After the design of the logo, I lead the UI and interface design.

My focus was to ensure the design was led by function, focusing on all the UI details for an unobtrusive interface that wouldn't hinder the task and user flows.

Working with the Co-founder/CEO of Adspur, to create high fidelity wireframes, prototypes/mock-up scenarios to visual layouts of the final product. It was an illiterate process over 6 months to get key features and functionality right before the awards calendar interface was developed and launched.

Interface designs still to be added.

Outcome

In June 2013 the website was launched and as the sole designer who helped visualise and start the production to now what is a leading tool for creative industry award shows, which makes me really proud.

"I'm incredibly proud of the work the team at Adspur have put together. The last 9 months have been tough, but the reaction to what we are showing people this week has made it all worthwhile. We couldn't have done it without having such a talented team working on it. Especially Cara Perry. Thanks Bill, Andrew, Sam, Alison, Alex, Mitch and Luiz"
